Joshua John creates art to dig deep, seek harmony and grow in freedom. To that end he paints with acrylic on canvas on issues such as unmerited favor and undeserved suffering and their role in shaping our lives.
JOSHUA JOHN (b.1979 grew up in the rural parts of the Indo-Gangetic plains with his teenage years spent in the Himalayan foothills of Uttrakhand.
He graduated from Woodstock School, Mussoorie in 1998 with a focus on Fine Arts and Ceramics. In St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, Joshua did BA Honors in English Literature, heading the Fine Arts Society and holding two group exhibitions. He then got a diploma in graphic design from Arena Multimedia and has been painting ever since.
“A pilgrim who paints parables” in the last two decades his works have found collectors in 15 countries besides India. New Delhi based artist Joshua has held over ten group shows and five solo shows. When not painting in his studio he works as a motorcycle tour guide
